Marissa Likar is the writer and course creator at Stitch Clinic, a place for practical lessons in knitting and sewing, giving absolute beginners the instruction they need to solve problems and feel more confident in their work while helping intermediate students learn new techniques to challenge themselves. Marissa was featured in The Washington Post and on the Effective Nerd blog, speaking about creativity and of course, yarn! Teaching comes naturally to her and she loves helping others so that they can enjoy knitting and sewing as much as she does. In her spare time she loves to paint pet portraits, garden, read historical novels, and listen to podcasts about true crime and art (not at the same time). She lives 20 minutes away from the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival grounds, completely out of pure luck but she is ever grateful.
