Cafe Baby

“Cafe Baby is the next best thing to home-made baby food, we prepare baby foods in small batches from fresh fruits and vegetables, and we puree it and freeze the same, as we don’t use any chemicals or preservatives. We have three age-based menus, starting when a baby starts solids, and then we have a toddler finger food menu, and then we have lactation cookies for the breastfeeding moms.”- Jeannie.

Morning Lazziness is bringing to you an interview session with Ms. Jeannie Marrugo, the founder of Cafe Baby.

In this interview, we have brought the spotlight on Jeannie’s journey from a full-time architect to a momtrepreneur, Cafe Baby’s new launches, and much more. Check out the interview session!

Launch of this year

“We are planning to launch an affiliate program so that moms could get rewards for sharing Cafe Baby with their friends. And we are also planning to expand on the initiatives we have started, which include being available in more grocery stores and getting into hospitals and Restaurants.” – Jeannie

My story

“I was a full-time architect, and when I was pregnant with my daughter, I wanted to make her baby food, but I didn’t have the time to do it, and I didn’t want to spend more time in the kitchen making baby food. And the only option I had was grocery store foods, which I didn’t want to do, so I started brainstorming on a business idea that could bring baby food to my doorstep. My mom and I had always wanted to start something, so we started our food business in a commercial kitchen, and the rest is history!.” – Jeannie.

My favorite baby food

“We have a sweet potato stew that I absolutely love. We worked with an African-American chef here in Indianapolis, and she came up with this wonderful recipe. It contains sweet potatoes, onion, ginger, turmeric, and a couple of other ingredients; it’s really warming in the puree baby food form.” – Jeannie.
