The 2022 National Football League Draft

The amazing spectacle that was Super Bowl LVI is now behind us, though certainly not forgotten. One of the most memorable half-time shows in recent memories was merely the icing on the cake in what was truly a game to remember between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Rams managed to take the game on the day after taking the lead 23-20 with less than 90 seconds left on the clock, whilst the rest of the league had already shifted their focus, looking towards the offseason.

The Biggest Date on the Offseason Calendar

As far as the offseason is concerned, there is no date more important to every team in the league than the NFL draft. The draft is the date when every team has the chance to replenish their roster with the best new young talent, mainly those players who have been making a splash in the college leagues during the previous twelve months. Unibet Sportsbook already has bets available for the new season in all of the major NFC and AFC conferences, as well as the NFL Championship 2022/2023 as a whole.

With under a month to go until this year’s draft, the clock is well and truly ticking – here’s everything you need to know about the 2022 NFL Draft.

When is the 2022 NFL Draft?

National Football League

This year’s NFL Draft will be held over three consecutive days beginning on Thursday, April 28th, and concluding on Saturday, April the 30th. The first and most critical round takes place on day one, whilst rounds two and three will then follow on Friday. Four further rounds will then take place on day three to allocate the remaining available players.

Timings have recently been announced, with Round 1 set to begin at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, whilst Rounds 2 and 3 will begin slightly earlier at 7 pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday. This makes sense, considering two rounds are very likely to take a greater amount of time than the single round being held the previous day. Finally, Saturday will see a sold afternoon’s worth of entertainment with rounds four through seven kicking off at noon Eastern Standard Time.

Where is the NFL Draft due to be Held?

2022 marks a special year for the NFL Draft as it will be the first time that the draft has ever been held in Sin City, AKA Las Vegas. This was the original plan for the 2020 draft before plans were revised and a virtual draft held instead.

The Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders, is located in the heart of the world-famous Las Vegas strip and is sure to attract many tens of thousands of additional spectators to the city that weekend.
