Can you guess which country tea originated first? Legends believe that tea was first discovered over 4000 years ago in China by Emperor Nun Shen. The emperor was visiting some remote locations of his region, where he asked his servants to boil the nearby tree leaves into a pot of boiling water. At that moment, the first cup of TEA was born.

Until the 17th century, it was mostly used for medicinal purposes. It was consumed as a beverage shortly after it made its way to the United Kingdom.
