The Secret to a Happy, Healthy, and Successful Life

The Secret to a Happy, Healthy, and Successful Life

Better Life

It seems like all of us are looking for the magical secret that will bring us happiness, health, love, and success. I know I spent many years looking for that “big thing” that would change my life, without success. Yet, there is a secret that almost all successful people use, whether they are athletes, world leaders, business people, or spiritual leaders. It is a secret that once I discovered, it helped change my life forever. It helped me lose and keep off almost 200 pounds, and it transformed every area of my life, and it changed the course and direction of my life. What is that secret? A Daily Routine.

What? How could something so simple be so powerful in transforming every area of your life? Let me explain. If you study the most successful people in this world (no matter what they do), they all have “simple” daily routines they use to achieve success. The power of your daily routine comes from it being of high quality and that it is done consistently over a long period of time (I have been doing mine for almost 15 years).

There are two types of routines—ones for your body and the others for your mind (spirit). For the purpose of this article, I am going to help you create a simple yet powerful routine to focus your mind and spirit on creating the life of your dreams.

For your body, you already know that you should be eating good food, drinking a lot of good clean water, and moving your body regularly (exercise).

Here is a simple daily routine that will focus your mind and your spirit on living the life of your dreams.

Are you ready? Here it is:

#1 Every morning, upon awakening, go into the bathroom, look at yourself in the mirror and say these “10 words” ten times:

“Thank you”

“I love you”

“I’m sorry”

“Please forgive me”

Repeat this exercise every night before you go to sleep.

This exercise is very simple; however, I will tell that most people I give this to feel uncomfortable doing it. Why? The reason is this, whether you know it or not, you speak to yourself all day long, and most of your internal dialogue is negative, and you are not used to speaking to yourself in a kind and loving way. Regardless of how you feel doing it, do it anyway.

#2 Every morning, write out (must be handwritten):

3 things you are thankful for…

3 things you love or like about yourself…

3 things you are good at…

And…They must be different every day.

For most of you, this will get difficult after a few days. Why? You are only used to finding these things in the big and obvious things in your life when these things are everywhere around you, even in the smallest and everyday things.

That is it for your morning routine.

Bedtime routine:

Repeat the “10 words” exercise in front of the mirror again.

When you get into bed at night, right before you go to sleep (make sure the TV is turned off), close your eyes and imagine how you want your life to be, in all the areas of your life, as if it has already happened and that you are already living the life of your dreams. Then allow yourself to fall asleep with that vision in your mind.

The important part of this sees it as if it already has happened. Why? Your subconscious mind does not distinguish between real and unreal, and it does not distinguish time (past, present, and future) all exist at the same time. Your subconscious mind, with repetition, will begin to work on this vision you have and start driving you towards it in your daily life.

When I weighed 360 pounds I created a vision for myself weighing 175 pounds or less and how I would look, dress, feel, and experience the world. At some point, it became so real that it became who I am. My weight has been consistently at 170 pounds for well over a decade, and I look exactly how I imagined it in my mind.

That is your simple daily routine…

It is simple yet powerful and its power is based on consistency over time. Many people start a daily routine, they do for a short time and do not get instant results, so they quit. The most successful people in this world do small things consistently on a daily basis, and they do them long after the average person quits.

I have worked with and coached many people over the years, helping them establish and doing a daily routine, and it has had helped them: achieve world records, earn millions of dollars, recapture their health and vitality, and most importantly, find happiness in their lives.

You aren’t average. You are Amazing….Believe It!…Live It!!!
