As part of the Morning Lazziness series highlighting empowering women who are making a remarkable impact with their ideas, I had the pleasure of interviewing Louise Siwicki.
Louise Siwicki is a Global Calm Coach, Keynote Speaker, and Award-Winning Advocate for Fertility and Workplace Wellbeing. She is the Head of Development (Australia) and a Program Advisory Board Member for the European Fertility Society, where she contributes to shaping international standards for patient-centred fertility care.
Her path into this work is deeply personal. After a six-year fertility journey marked by miscarriages, chronic illness, and emotional burnout, Louise found healing through nervous system regulation and subconscious rewiring. That transformation not only led to her natural conception but also revealed her life’s mission: to ensure that no woman has to navigate infertility, burnout, or identity loss without the tools and emotional support she once had to fight to find.
As the creator of The Rewritten™ Method and founder of signature programs such as Your Fertility Rewritten™, Breaking Up With Perfect™, and The Calm Reset™, Louise helps high-performing women release perfectionism, regulate stress, and reclaim calm as their greatest advantage.
Her expertise has been recognised globally — she is a Brainz CREA Global Award Winner, featured in Brainz Magazine, Fertility Road, She Defined, Women’s Agenda, and on leading podcasts. She has delivered keynotes and workshops across Australia and internationally, positioning calm not as a soft option, but as a powerful strategy for leadership, fertility, and sustainable success.
At her heart, Louise is a calm disruptor — pioneering a movement that proves calm is not weakness. Calm is the rewrite. Calm is the revolution. Calm is the legacy.
In this interview, she discusses her entrepreneurial evolution, from early struggles to the achievements that shaped her online business success.
What inspired your leap into entrepreneurship, and what personal experiences sparked the idea behind your current venture?
My business was born out of one of the hardest chapters of my life — a six-year fertility journey that left me physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Healing my nervous system and rewriting old patterns not only helped me conceive naturally, it showed me the power of calm. I knew I had to share that with other women who were silently suffering the same way.
What core problem does your business solve, particularly for women or underserved communities—and how does your approach stand out in today’s competitive space?
I support high-achieving women who look strong on the outside but are struggling inside. They’ve been taught to push, perform, and control — but those very patterns fuel burnout and disconnection. My approach is different because it’s science-backed *and* lived. I bring neuroscience, psychology, and subconscious work together with deep empathy. Calm is not a weakness — it’s the most powerful edge a woman can have.
What were some of the toughest obstacles you faced early in your journey as a woman entrepreneur, and how did you navigate through them?
Launching while pregnant with my second baby was daunting. Imposter syndrome hit me hard — I didn’t think I was “qualified enough.” But I quickly realised my lived experience was my qualification. The more honest I was, the more women trusted me.
When the going gets tough, what keeps you grounded and motivated to keep pushing forward?
My children. They’re my “why.” And my clients — knowing that one conversation, one tool, can change someone’s story. On tough days, I always return to my grounding rituals: breathwork, journaling, a simple walk. Calm brings me back to centre.
What daily habits or non-negotiable routines help you stay focused, creatively energized, and balanced as a founder?
I start my mornings with intention — not emails. A few deep breaths, journaling, and movement. And family connection is non-negotiable. Breakfast with my kids keeps me anchored in what matters most.
What’s been the most effective growth lever for acquiring new clients or expanding your customer base?
Storytelling. Sharing my own messy, real journey has built trust and connection. Coffee dates — online and in-person — have also been key. My business has grown through genuine human connection, not quick hacks.
What branding or marketing decision had the biggest impact in elevating your business and building trust with your audience?
Owning *The Calm Expert*. Once I claimed that space, everything aligned — my offers, my media features, my speaking. Clarity creates trust, and calm is the clarity my audience needed.
How do you personally define success—not just as a business owner, but as a woman living a purpose-driven life?
Success is alignment. It’s building a business that serves others without burning me out. It’s creating memories with my kids, building generational wealth, and showing women everywhere that calm isn’t weakness — it’s strength.
Can you share a mistake or misstep that taught you a lesson you still carry with you today?
I used to think hustle equalled success. It left me drained. My biggest lesson? Hustle doesn’t create impact — calm does. Slowing down gives me more clarity, energy, and results.
What’s your best advice for women just starting out—especially first-time entrepreneurs feeling overwhelmed or unsure of their next steps?
Don’t wait until you feel “ready.” Start small, start messy. Clarity comes from action. And remember, nervous system calm is your foundation — without it, everything else crumbles.
How do you approach risk and innovation, especially when breaking new ground in a male-dominated or fast-changing industry?
With calm and conviction. Fear fuels rushed decisions, but calm brings clarity. In spaces that value speed and control, I stand out by bringing presence and steadiness — and that’s where true innovation happens.
If you lead a team, how do you foster a culture of trust, inclusivity, collaboration, and growth?
It starts with safety. When people feel safe to speak and be themselves, collaboration thrives. I model vulnerability and calm — and that creates the space for others to do the same.
What are the top 5 mindset shifts or personal practices that helped you overcome self-doubt and grow your confidence as a woman entrepreneur?
1. Calm is stronger than control.
2. Done is better than perfect.
3. Trust over fear.
4. Your story is your power.
5. Connection beats comparison.
If you could spark a global movement through your work, what would it be—and why is that mission meaningful to you?
*The Calm Advantage™.* A global movement redefining calm as power in leadership, fertility, and life. Because when women reclaim calm, they rewrite not just their own story — but their family’s, their workplace’s, and their legacy.
What’s a quote, philosophy, or guiding belief that shapes how you lead, create, and live every day?
Calm is not the soft option. Calm is the rewrite, the revolution, and the legacy.
