As part of the Morning Lazziness series about empowering women who encourage and do incredible things with their ideas in society, I had the pleasure of interviewing Victoria Simon.
Victoria is a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and the visionary behind Contourology, a fast-growing body sculpting and wellness studio dedicated to helping women feel strong, confident, and empowered in their bodies. With a background in finance and nearly a decade in the beauty industry, she blends business expertise with a deep passion for wellness.
Her entrepreneurial journey began with a clear purpose: to create a space where women—especially moms—can receive effective, nurturing treatments that support both physical transformation and emotional well-being. Today, Contourology is known for its visible results, client care, and welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to running her busy studio, Victoria mentors aspiring body sculptors through online and in-person training programs. She teaches not only the technical side of body sculpting, but also the business skills needed to succeed in the wellness space. Her leadership is grounded in clarity, compassion, and high standards.
A devoted mom of two, Victoria prioritizes balance in her own life with daily wellness rituals like meditation, sauna sessions, and movement. She believes true success comes from alignment—between body, mind, and mission.
Her story is one of reinvention, grit, and heart. Whether she’s supporting clients on their body journeys or helping women launch their own businesses, Victoria is passionate about lifting others as she grows.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur, and what led to the creation of your current venture?
After becoming a mom, I struggled to feel good in my body. I couldn’t find a place that truly supported post-pregnancy recovery—so I created one. Contourology was born from a desire to help women feel confident again.
As a woman in business, what unique challenges have you encountered, and how did you navigate them?
Being taken seriously. I learned to trust my gut, stand firm on my policies, and surround myself with people who respect my vision.
How do you handle the demands of running a business while maintaining your personal well-being and life balance?
Boundaries and rituals. I meditate daily, prioritize time with my kids, and never skip my lymphatic massage or sauna sessions.
What networking strategies or communities have helped you build meaningful and valuable professional connections?
Local wellness events, female founder groups, and just showing up online authentically—Instagram DMs have led to amazing collabs.
How do you approach mentorship—both as someone who seeks guidance and as someone who offers it—and how has this shaped your growth as an entrepreneur?
I ask questions without ego and share openly with women starting out. Teaching others has made me sharper and more grounded.
What strategies have been most effective in acquiring and retaining your customers or clients?
Google Ads and offering 50% off the first session. But ultimately, retention comes from real results and a great experience.
Which marketing techniques have worked best for your business, and how do you track or evaluate their success?
Google Ads and client feedback. I track conversions, but more importantly—I see who rebooks and refers their friends.
Can you share a significant setback or obstacle in your entrepreneurial journey and the steps you took to overcome it?
When our salon lost power during wildfires, I had to relocate overnight. I focused on solutions, stayed calm, and communicated fast with clients—we didn’t lose a single one.
What’s one key piece of advice you’d give to women just starting their entrepreneurial journey?
Start before you’re ready. You’ll never feel 100% prepared—but action creates clarity and momentum.
Is there a quote, mantra, or personal philosophy that guides your decision-making as a founder or leader?
“Be so good they can’t ignore you.” I lead with quality, service, and heart.
What Are The 5 Things You Need To Overcome Self-Doubt and Build Confidence?
- Start With What You Have – I began with just two sculpting machines and no staff. Now we have 15 machines and a team of 8 body sculpting techs.
- Surround Yourself With Support – My team, mentors, and even my kids remind me why I do this.
- Invest in Yourself – Courses, coaching, and cold plunges—your growth fuels your courage.
- Celebrate Progress, Not Perfection – Confidence came when I stopped waiting to be perfect.
- Use Fear as a Compass – When I’m scared, it means I’m expanding. I lean in, not out.
If you could inspire a movement, what would it be?
I’d start a movement to fund and support single moms in launching wellness businesses. Empower a woman, change a community.
